Revenue Accounting Transformation Manager at Planet – Hybrid, United States
Lead the transformation of Planet’s revenue accounting operations, including Quote-to-Cash automation, ASC 606 compliance, subledgers, controls, and audit processes.

- Drive modernization, automation, and scalable growth of the global revenue engine
- Design and configure automated revenue subledgers
- Upgrade end-to-end Quote-to-Cash processes to reduce manual journals and spreadsheet risk while accelerating month-end close
- Connect revenue data across ERP platforms, subledgers, and data warehouses
- Automate ASC 606 disclosures and key financial metrics through reconciliations
- Collaborate with Product, Sales Operations, and Pricing on system impacts and revenue treatment for new offerings and monetization models
- Act as the principal contact for internal and external auditors on revenue systems, process updates, and automation
- Develop, document, and validate SOX application controls and risk matrices
- Verify that system rules, data flows, and manual overrides comply with ASC 606
- Maintain standard operating procedures and train finance teams on revised workflows
- Report to the Global Revenue Accounting Director

- At least six years of experience in revenue accounting
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Information Systems, or a comparable field
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and ASC 606 across complex SaaS, recurring-revenue, multi-element, or usage-based models
- Practical experience with SOX 404, internal control frameworks, and audit walkthroughs for automated IT application controls
- Experience implementing, configuring, or administering enterprise ERPs and revenue subledgers or engines, including NetSuite ARM and Salesforce
- Proficiency with enterprise data warehouses and business intelligence or visualization tools
- Database querying and SQL expertise is highly valued
- Background leading cross-functional project teams, managing delivery risk, and completing complex system implementations on schedule
- Ability to align stakeholders across Sales Operations, Legal, IT, Product, FP&A, and external audit
- Ability to translate technical accounting requirements for engineering teams and technical data concepts for accounting leaders
