Legal Counsel, Fintech Payments — Satispay, Luxembourg (Hybrid)
Satispay is seeking Legal Counsel to support fintech payments and consumer-credit products in Luxembourg. The role covers financial regulation, product development, legal risk management, and senior leadership advice.

- Lead legal support for fintech products, with a focus on payments, e-money, and consumer credit.
- Guide regulatory, contractual, and product decisions to maintain compliance and reduce risk.
- Partner with teams across the business to develop and launch Payments and Consumer Credit services, including BNPL.
- Apply a working knowledge of technical and engineering considerations to legal assessments.
- Assess legal and regulatory exposure and recommend mitigations suited to the organisation’s risk appetite.
- Advise on financial regulations such as PSD2, AML/KYC, e-money rules, and CCD2.
- Serve as a reliable legal partner to senior leadership.
- Deliver practical counsel while strengthening legal awareness throughout the organisation.

- Qualified lawyer with at least five years of post-qualification experience.
- Strong command of financial and consumer-credit regulations, including PSD2, AML/KYC, EMRs, and CCD2.
- Proven professional experience in fintech and payments.
- Experience spanning private practice and in-house legal work is preferred.
- Able to investigate complex legal questions, apply sound judgment, and make risk-based decisions.
- Working understanding of technology and engineering processes in fintech, payments, and consumer lending.
- Experience partnering with technical teams is a significant advantage.
- Able to weigh legal exposure against commercial priorities.
- Fluent written and spoken English is required.
- Italian or French language skills are an advantage.
- Prepared to relocate to Luxembourg.
- Available to work from the office three days each week: Tuesday, Thursday, and one additional day of choice.
