Lead Software Engineer, Data and Automation (MLOps)
Lead development of data platforms, MLOps, and cloud automation at PNC. Build secure enterprise solutions using Azure, AWS, and modern data processing technologies.

- Design software to meet complex business needs
- Prepare technical and procedural documentation
- Resolve complex technical problems
- Guide and support colleagues on technical matters
- Review software code, tests, and documentation
- Use modern practices, methods, and tools to advance business initiatives
- Develop and maintain batch and real-time data processing solutions and pipelines
- Support cloud infrastructure, automation, and platform operations on Azure, AWS, or a comparable platform
- Help deliver secure, scalable, and reliable enterprise solutions
- Lead complex technical initiatives and work across organizational boundaries
- Take ownership of mission-critical production systems and enterprise-scale platforms

- A university or college degree is typically required
- At least three years of relevant industry experience
- A comparable combination of education, job-specific certifications, and experience, including military service, may substitute for a degree
- Experience with MLOps platforms, model deployment pipelines, AI/ML operations, and data-driven platforms
- Experience with Python, Spark, Kafka, Airflow, and cloud-based data services
- In-depth knowledge of Azure services, DevOps practices, platform engineering, and automation
- Experience with CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, Kubernetes or OpenShift, containers, monitoring, and cloud security
- Ability to lead complex technical initiatives and shape architectural decisions
- Strong communication, stakeholder management, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
- Track record of owning mission-critical production systems and enterprise-scale platforms
- Knowledge of Agile, Apache Hadoop, AWS Cloud Operations, cloud computing, code reviews, debugging, DevOps, project management, requirements analysis, software development, SQL, system design, and technical design
