Financial Recovery Representative II, Default Services
Manage distressed Business Banking loans at Huntington, developing strategies to resolve or exit loans. Work includes workouts, litigation, and liquidation to minimize portfolio losses.

- Oversee a portfolio of substandard Business Banking loans.
- Coordinate with customers, attorneys, and liquidators to exit relationships with borrowers unable to maintain them.
- Develop litigation or liquidation strategies for classified Financial Recovery loans up to $500 million to minimize losses.
- Present action plans and exit strategies for problem loans to senior Financial Recovery Group management.
- Review financial plans and negotiate loan collections or restructurings.
- Recommend and oversee litigation or liquidation to reduce exposure.
- Determine appropriate risk ratings, accrual status, and losses.
- Resolve workout scenarios and communicate data-based results to senior management under tight deadlines.
- Follow bank policies, procedures, and applicable legal and regulatory requirements.
- Oversee risk, compliance, and audit performance within assigned areas.
- Establish or help develop controls and processes to measure, monitor, and manage risks and compliance obligations.
- Stay informed about risk-related changes affecting assigned areas.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 3 years of experience in commercial or business banking underwriting, lending, credit, or appraisal.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, or accounting preferred.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

- Strong working knowledge of SBA loans and related workout processes to ensure compliance with SBA Standard Operating Procedures.
- Working knowledge of exit strategies, including bankruptcy, business closure, legal remedies, and liquidation.
- Must be currently authorized to work full time in the United States.
