Communications Manager, Zambia (Remote)

  • Partner with the CEO to produce op-eds, speeches, presentations, and other written materials
  • Prepare leaders for panels, conferences, and sector discussions
  • Provide communications materials for other organizational leaders
  • Develop, implement, and manage an organization-wide communications strategy
  • Maintain consistent messaging, talking points, boilerplate, tone, visual identity, and narrative
  • Manage a content calendar spanning milestones, government engagements, donor cycles, and learning outputs
  • Own the annual speaking and events calendar and measure thought-leadership return on investment
  • Lead the end-to-end production of annual reports and organizational collateral
  • Coordinate external designers, photographers, and videographers
  • Establish production systems, calendars, review workflows, and templates
  • Build proactive media engagement and oversee external public relations counsel
  • Create media opportunities around milestones, launches, and evidence releases
  • Prepare leaders for interviews and other press engagements
  • Coordinate media and government relations with the Advocacy and Government Engagement team
  • Act as the primary contact for incoming media inquiries
  • Manage Healthy Learners’ website and other online channels
  • Lead field-team collection of impact stories, photography, and video
  • Use performance analytics to refine communications strategy and expand reach
  • Turn data and evidence into accessible briefs, infographics, and summaries
  • Strengthen internal knowledge sharing through communications tools and templates
  • Uphold quality standards and collaborate with communications and Development writing teams
  • Partner with Development on donor materials, impact reports, and campaign communications
  • Oversee daily communications operations with the Chief of Staff and CEO

Талаптар

  • 6–9 years of professional experience in strategic communications, public relations, or content production
  • Experience in global health, education, or international development is preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in communications, journalism, public relations, or a related field
  • A master’s degree is an advantage
  • Portfolio demonstrating end-to-end ownership of major publications
  • Excellent writing, editing, and storytelling skills for donors, governments, media, and public audiences
  • Strong design judgment and proficiency with tools such as Canva or Adobe Suite
  • Ability to brief and direct professional designers
  • Strong project management skills, including oversight of freelancers, budgets, and multi-stakeholder review processes
  • Experience translating technical or program information into clear, engaging materials
  • Collaborative interpersonal skills and the ability to work across teams and cultures
  • Strong commitment to Healthy Learners’ mission
