Backend Engineer Intern (6-Month Internship)
Join Qonto’s backend team to build financial features in Go and Ruby for its SME finance platform. Ship production code with AI tools while learning alongside senior engineers.

- Build and release financial features for card authorization, transfers, onboarding, and payment processing.
- Take part in daily stand-ups and the team’s regular working routines.
- Meet weekly with a senior backend engineer and use ongoing feedback to develop your skills.
- Read, write, and review production code in Go and Ruby.
- Use AI coding assistants, including Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot.
- Contribute to product conversations with engineering, product, and design colleagues.
- Help shape the direction of the features you are assigned.
- Work within a backend squad responsible for its product area.
- Partner with product and design colleagues.
- Contribute to technical design, team reviews, thoughtful task breakdown, Kaizen, and PDCA improvement practices.
