UX Designer, Design Systems at Wizeline (Hybrid, Spain)

Designing and evolving Index, Wizeline’s core design system for AI-powered digital products. Developing scalable Figma components, documentation, design tokens, and accessible patterns for multiple brands.

Description

  • Develop and improve Index components, including new patterns, edge-case refinements, accessibility considerations, and multi-brand applications.
  • Organize and maintain Figma libraries so they remain structured, documented, and accessible to designers.
  • Write guidance that explains the appropriate use of each component.
  • Use design tokens and Figma variables to support theming, multi-brand requirements, and scalable maintenance.
  • Connect Index with product-area extensions to ensure patterns transfer effectively between core and specialized libraries.
  • Collaborate with engineering to align design specifications with implementation when required.
  • Work autonomously while sharing progress and blockers through asynchronous collaboration.
  • Uphold a high level of precision and consistency across design systems work.

Requirements

  • At least four years of product design experience, including substantial work on or contributions to design systems.
  • A portfolio demonstrating design systems experience through component development, documentation, or pattern creation.
  • Advanced Figma capability, including component architecture, variants, auto layout, and variables.
  • Practical experience with design tokens and their role in theming, consistency, and multi-brand support.
  • Strong command of design fundamentals such as typography, spacing, color, and interaction patterns.
  • Knowledge of WCAG accessibility standards and their application to component design.
  • Strong written documentation abilities.
  • Capacity to work independently and prioritize responsibilities effectively.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in Design, HCI, or a related discipline.
  • Proficiency with one or more AI tools to improve daily work through drafting, analysis, research, or process automation.
  • Understanding of how design systems integrate with code, including CSS and React component APIs.
  • Experience with design system versioning and contribution processes.
  • Familiarity with the challenges of multi-brand or white-label design systems.
  • Experience collaborating with distributed or fully remote teams.
  • Experience in news media, publishing, or content-focused products.
  • Familiarity with design system tools beyond Figma, such as Storybook or Zeroheight.
