Systems Engineer, Northrop Grumman Aeronautics

Develop and validate aerospace systems for Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems. Coordinate requirements, interfaces, specifications, and verification artifacts across engineering teams.

Description

  • Create and deliver systems engineering products
  • Develop and allocate requirements, and plan verification and validation
  • Lead interface definition work
  • Prepare complex specifications, interface control documents, and engineering reports
  • Coordinate with program, functional, and subsystem leads
  • Maintain systems engineering artifacts under configuration management procedures
  • Work with stakeholders to verify and validate systems engineering artifacts
  • Gather input from stakeholders and team members, synthesize information, and present findings and recommendations to technical and nontechnical audiences
  • Coordinate across Integrated Product Teams and with external customers

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field plus 2 years of related professional or military Systems Engineering experience, or a STEM master’s degree with no experience required
  • Active U.S. Government Secret clearance, with a background investigation completed within the past 5 years, or enrollment in Continuous Evaluation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain initial Special Access Program access through a Program Access Request before starting or within a reasonable period set by the company
  • Ability to obtain and maintain subsequent SAP/PAR access after starting employment
  • Experience using Python or another scripting language
  • U.S. citizenship required for roles requiring a government clearance
  • Preferred: Current applicable Special Access Program clearance
  • Preferred: Active U.S. Government Top Secret clearance or higher
  • Preferred: Systems Engineering experience in technical planning, system design and development, verification and validation, cost or risk management, requirements management, or technical review support
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Model Based Systems Engineering and system architecture integration
  • Preferred: Familiarity with Systems Engineering tools such as DOORS and Cameo
  • Preferred: Software development experience
  • Preferred: Hardware and software integration testing experience
  • Preferred: Agile execution experience
