Structural Engineering Co-Op, January 2027 — RTX Aguadilla Hybrid

Join RTX as a Structural Engineering Co-Op supporting aerospace and mechanical systems hardware in a hybrid Aguadilla role. Analyze designs with finite element and classical engineering methods, then document and present the results.

Description

  • Assist with the design and development of external and mechanical systems components
  • Carry out structural analyses across preliminary and detailed design, validation, certification, manufacturing support, and operational service
  • Perform finite element analysis with ANSYS, Workbench, and Teamcenter
  • Use classical engineering methods to evaluate strength, stress and deflection, vibration, fatigue life, and damage tolerance
  • Support technology development and continuous improvement of engineering standards, processes, and methods
  • Record analysis results and present conclusions to management and external customers
  • Work with senior engineers, present technical work, ask questions, and develop within a professional engineering environment

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree in mechanical, aerospace, or civil engineering, with enrollment continuing through the internship or co-op session
  • Minimum GPA of 3.0
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Must be able to access information covered by the applicable program or contract as a U.S. citizen
  • English proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking is required for communication with customers, colleagues, or supervisors who speak only English
  • Must live in Puerto Rico when employment begins
  • Relocation assistance is not available
  • No security clearance is required
