Staff DevOps Engineer

Lead DevOps automation, cloud infrastructure, and service reliability for Vyne Dental’s healthcare technology platform. Shape CI/CD, disaster recovery, and AI-assisted engineering practices.

Description

  • Automate application and infrastructure builds, deployments, and management
  • Partner with development and operations teams on application releases and infrastructure needs
  • Build and maintain continuous integration and delivery pipelines
  • Investigate and resolve production issues
  • Review code to uphold quality and engineering standards
  • Track emerging technologies and propose infrastructure improvements
  • Record system architecture, operating processes, and recommended practices
  • Maintain the reliability and performance of systems and services
  • Coach junior DevOps engineers in sound engineering practices
  • Develop high-level architecture designs and proof-of-concept solutions
  • Use AI tools to speed up deployments, code generation, testing, and documentation
  • Help set the DevOps team’s strategic direction
  • Create solutions for complex application environments, high availability, and disaster recovery
  • Work with leaders across functions, advance organizational change, and support hiring

Requirements

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree in engineering or have equivalent experience
  • Bring at least eight years of experience in a related role
  • Have advanced knowledge of AI-assisted DevOps tools, including Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Claude Code, GitLab Duo, and New Relic AI
  • Demonstrate expert knowledge of distributed systems, networks, and operating systems
  • Be highly proficient in at least one programming language, such as Python, JavaScript, or C#
  • Have expert knowledge of cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud
  • Know configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef at an expert level
  • Understand container technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes at an expert level
  • Bring expert problem-solving ability
  • Show integrity, dependability, urgency, and a focus on results
  • Work effectively as part of a team
  • Keep current with the department’s required knowledge
  • Be able to safeguard protected health and personal information, HR data, financial and corporate accounts, and access to corporate applications encountered in the role
