Staff Accountant - Mexico Remote

Support Jacuzzi Group’s accounting operations in Mexico through U.S. GAAP accounting, reconciliations, financial close, reporting, and expense-policy compliance. This is a fully remote position based in Tijuana.

Description

  • Prepare and record journal entries, accruals, and adjustments under U.S. GAAP.
  • Maintain, analyze, and reconcile general ledger accounts.
  • Assist with month-end and year-end closing activities.
  • Help prepare financial statements, internal reports, and audit schedules.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and investigate discrepancies.
  • Monitor cash activity and support cash flow reporting.
  • Monitor adherence to company travel and expense policies.
  • Review employee expense reports for accuracy, coding, and policy compliance.
  • Track corporate credit card transactions and follow up on overdue or incomplete expense reports.
  • Work with HR and department managers to address compliance issues.
  • Support internal and external audit requests by preparing required documentation.
  • Contribute to process improvements and stronger financial controls.
  • Prepare recurring and ad hoc schedules for management, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Assist with variance analysis and explain unusual or unexpected activity.
  • Complete additional tasks and special projects assigned by management.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required.
  • Two to four years of accounting experience; internship or corporate accounting experience is preferred.
  • Working knowledge of U.S. GAAP.
  • Advanced English proficiency is required.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables, VLOOKUP, and formulas.
  • Experience with ERP systems such as Infor or NetSuite.
  • Strong attention to detail and a consistent focus on accuracy.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication skills and professionalism when working with employees.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
  • Demonstrated integrity, reliability, and discretion with confidential information.
