Description

  • Develop Python services and secure AWS APIs for a federal agency’s application processing.
  • Create services and APIs that guide submissions through document handling, validation, and decisions.
  • Build backend services and REST APIs with Python and FastAPI or a comparable framework.
  • Develop AWS components with Lambda, Step Functions, API Gateway, and S3.
  • Maintain PostgreSQL data.
  • Set up authentication and access controls.
  • Deliver a secure, automated backend suited to a regulated federal environment.
  • Work with developers, engineers, data scientists, architects, and strategists across projects and clients.

Requirements

  • At least four years of Python software development experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree.
  • Practical experience building secure REST APIs on AWS with FastAPI or a comparable framework.
  • Experience working with PostgreSQL.
  • Experience implementing authentication and access controls.
  • Experience delivering clean, automated software.
  • Proficiency with writing, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • U.S. citizenship is required for the initial engagement.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust determination.
  • Ability to adapt development workflows as AI tools change.
  • Preparedness to complete a live Python coding exercise.
