Senior/Lead PHP Symfony Developer — Havas, Ho Chi Minh City (Hybrid)

Description
- Build, test, and maintain robust PHP applications aligned with business and technical needs
- Write clean, secure, maintainable code that follows established standards
- Partner with cross-functional teams to shape scalable architectures and integration solutions
- Establish automated testing, code-quality checks, and CI/CD practices
- Investigate complex performance, integration, database, and production problems
- Improve application speed through caching, database optimization, and system monitoring
- Contribute to code reviews, technical designs, and architectural decisions
- Assess and introduce relevant technologies and engineering best practices
- Coach team members on solution design and coding challenges
- Assess team member performance
Requirements
- At least five years of experience developing PHP 8.x applications with object-oriented programming
- Practical knowledge of modern architecture principles such as dependency injection, service containers, event-driven design, modular components, and middleware pipelines
- Strong Symfony experience across versions 5.4 through 7.4
- Hands-on experience with PHPUnit, PHPStan, PHP CS Fixer, and Sonar
- Knowledge of web technologies and HTTP, including CORS, headers, authentication, authorization, API standards, and web security
- Comfort working with macOS or Linux, shell environments, and command-line tools
- Experience building RESTful APIs, microservices, and API-first solutions
- Proficiency in performance tuning and caching strategies using Redis and HTTP caching
- Understanding of application architecture, design patterns, clean code, SOLID, DDD, and CQRS
- Experience with relational databases, including administration, query tuning, schema design, and data import and export
- Experience using Docker, FrankenPHP, MariaDB, Redis, and AWS services
- Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, GitHub, and CI/CD processes
- Strong written and spoken English communication
- Proven leadership, teamwork, and problem-solving abilities
- Exposure to the MuleSoft integration platform is desirable
