Senior Water Resources and Dam Engineer (Hybrid)

Lead dam repair and removal initiatives, from engineering design and permitting through construction support. Apply water resources expertise while guiding project delivery, client coordination, regulatory work, and engineer development.

Description

  • Direct dam repair and removal projects through planning, design, permitting, and construction support
  • Set project scopes, fees, schedules, and budgets while managing contracts and delivery
  • Produce and review engineering analyses, technical reports, plans, specifications, and cost estimates
  • Coordinate permitting activities and grant applications with local, state, and federal agencies
  • Use hydrologic and hydraulic modeling to inform designs and regulatory submissions
  • Work with clients, regulators, and multidisciplinary teams throughout New England
  • Contribute to business development through funding strategies and proposal preparation
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers and provide technical direction

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field
  • Professional Engineer (PE) license
  • At least 10 years of experience in water resources and dam engineering
  • Thorough understanding of dam safety regulations, codes, and industry standards
  • Experience directing dam repair and removal design projects
  • Demonstrated ability to produce strong technical reports and permit applications
  • Proficiency with hydrologic and hydraulic modeling software
  • Working knowledge of CAD-based design tools
  • Strong project management, communication, and mentoring abilities
  • Willingness to travel 10–15% throughout New England
