Description
- Coordinate and oversee models from design and trade partners across multiple software platforms
- Define project BIM schedules, file-transfer procedures, model standards, and expectations
- Examine models for significant changes, errors, omissions, conflicts, missing information, and unclear design details
- Help prepare materials for interviews and presentations
- Connect construction schedules to models for sequencing and constructability assessments
- Develop virtual mockups that demonstrate constructability, means and methods, and work sequences
- Support clash detection by gathering models, configuring clash detection, and organizing clash views
- Conduct field laser scans and process the resulting data for analysis and project use
- Operate drones to capture jobsite conditions, process reality-capture data, and provide analysis to project teams
- Use 360-degree cameras for interior reality capture, process the data, and provide analysis to project teams
- Connect and embed construction information into models to support project closeout
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in architecture, engineering, construction management, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience
- At least three years of VDC experience or at least five years in preconstruction, construction operations, or a similar AEC role
- Knowledge of VDC services, including preconstruction integration, field applications, reality capture, and emerging technologies
- Proficiency with computer applications such as Autodesk, Navisworks, Revit, AutoCAD, and Trimble SketchUp
