Senior Trade Finance Manager – Addison, TX (Onsite)

Lead global trade finance activities for CECO Environmental, including letters of credit, guarantees, risk assessment, and cross-border transactions. Partner with corporate functions, banking institutions, customers, and suppliers to support the company’s industrial environmental solutions.

Description

  • Oversee corporate trade finance instruments, including letters of credit, standby letters of credit, guarantees, and documentary collections
  • Act as the company’s subject matter expert for trade finance
  • Advise internal teams on transaction structures, documentation, risk, and commercial considerations
  • Negotiate trade finance terms with customers, suppliers, banks, and internal partners
  • Review and approve trade finance provisions in contracts, purchase orders, bids, credit requests, and commercial agreements
  • Collaborate with Treasury, Finance, Legal, Sales, Operations, Project Management, Supply Chain, and business unit leaders
  • Provide global oversight of trade finance activities across regions
  • Manage bank coordination for the issuance, amendment, renewal, cancellation, pricing, and administration of trade instruments
  • Assess country, customer, counterparty, documentary, payment, performance, and working capital risks
  • Support cross-border transactions and resolve trade finance matters with regional teams, counsel, banks, customers, and suppliers
  • Maintain records, forecasts, reports, controls, and dashboards covering instruments, exposures, fees, expirations, and obligations
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, delegated authority, internal controls, international trade requirements, sanctions screening expectations, and applicable regulations
  • Develop process improvements, automation initiatives, and standardized practices that improve visibility, reduce risk and costs, and increase efficiency
  • Train team members and educate internal stakeholders as needed

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of progressive experience in trade finance, treasury, corporate finance, international finance, or a related discipline
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, International Business, or a related field is required
  • Corporate trade finance experience is required, including meaningful work in a corporate environment rather than exclusively in banking
  • Strong command of trade finance instruments, including letters of credit, standby letters of credit, bank guarantees, documentary collections, bid bonds, performance bonds, advance payment guarantees, and payment security structures
  • Experience negotiating letters of credit, guarantees, standby letters of credit, commercial and banking terms, credit support language, and related documentation
  • Ability to work with global stakeholders across countries, regions, time zones, currencies, and business practices
  • Strong partnership skills with Legal, Treasury, Finance, Sales, Operations, and executive stakeholders on complex commercial and financial matters
  • Advanced degree or professional certification such as CTP is preferred
  • Experience with global import and export activity, cross-border transactions, project-based businesses, manufacturing, engineered products, industrial services, or multinational corporate environments is preferred
  • Working knowledge of international trade practices, documentary requirements, Incoterms, UCP 600, ISP98, and related trade finance principles is preferred
  • Knowledge of global trade finance rules, international documentation standards, country-specific requirements, and regional banking practices is preferred
  • Ability to train colleagues and educate internal stakeholders
  • Willingness to undertake limited domestic and international travel as required
