Senior Tech Lead, Transaction Monitoring at Solidus Labs - UK Remote
Lead backend engineering for Solidus Labs’ transaction-monitoring platform, covering off-chain and on-chain financial-crime detection. Own team leadership, system design, data pipelines, and delivery across a growing compliance technology roadmap.
Description
- Lead, mentor, and develop Solidus Labs’ global Transaction Monitoring engineering team
- Own sprint execution, code quality, and on-call performance
- Lead implementation of the off-chain Transaction Monitoring detection suite
- Drive on-chain Transaction Monitoring for wallet-level and protocol-level activity
- Build and maintain the data pipelines that support transaction monitoring
- Create and defend high- and low-level designs for architecture, data models, detection logic, and threshold-tuning frameworks
- Collaborate with Global Product on the on-chain product roadmap
- Turn regulatory and customer needs into actionable engineering plans
- Develop reusable architecture and shared engineering capabilities across Transaction Monitoring and Transaction Surveillance
- Partner with compliance, customer success, and solutions teams to improve alert quality, reduce false positives, and address client tuning needs
Requirements
- At least eight years of backend engineering experience
- At least two years of experience leading or tech-leading an engineering team
- Strong understanding of financial services, including fintech, payments, banking, or crypto
- Working knowledge of financial-crime and compliance concepts
- Strong foundations in data structures and algorithms
- Demonstrated ability to build high-performance concurrent software
- Experience reviewing pull requests and troubleshooting production systems
- Ownership of system architecture and detailed implementation design
- Experience building high-throughput, low-latency data systems
- Experience with streaming platforms such as Kafka
- Experience with analytical data stores such as ClickHouse or Snowflake
- Experience with distributed batch-processing systems
- Strong written and verbal communication with non-engineering stakeholders
- Experience using AI coding tools and coding harnesses
