Description

  • Lead and coach a cross-functional team of software engineers and contractors
  • Oversee operating system feature delivery from planning through release
  • Coordinate schedules, risks, and dependencies to support safe execution
  • Serve as the main technical contact for external customers and internal partners
  • Turn operational needs into clear, structured systems and software requirements
  • Review aerospace and other safety-critical technical standards
  • Convert certification requirements into actionable engineering tasks

Requirements

  • At least seven years of software engineering experience, including three or more years in management
  • Communicate complex technical challenges through clear project status updates for stakeholders
  • Strong command of Scrum and Agile practices
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical field preferred
  • U.S. citizenship required
  • Experience with safety-critical development processes such as DO-178C or ISO 26262 is highly desired
  • Experience building systems software, including virtualization, OS kernels, or x86/ARM hypervisors, is highly desired
