Description

  • Design, build, test, deploy, and maintain scalable, high-performance backend services with Java and Spring Boot
  • Produce reusable, production-ready code while contributing to technical designs and architecture decisions
  • Create RESTful APIs and microservices optimized for availability, scalability, resilience, and fault tolerance
  • Secure service integrations through authentication, authorization, and established API security practices
  • Use PostgreSQL and other relational databases to develop efficient schemas and data-access solutions
  • Write, analyze, and optimize complex SQL with JPA and Hibernate
  • Deploy, operate, and scale Azure cloud applications through CI/CD practices
  • Use Docker and Kubernetes to support containerized deployment, orchestration, and operational readiness
  • Apply distributed-systems patterns including multithreading, concurrency, caching, retries, resilience, and fault tolerance
  • Create unit and integration tests with JUnit, Mockito, Testcontainers, or comparable tools, and contribute to code reviews
  • Collaborate with product managers, architects, QA, DevOps, and engineering teams to deliver services and features
  • Mentor junior and mid-level engineers while helping strengthen engineering standards
  • Investigate complex production problems, identify root causes, and deliver lasting fixes
  • Advance application performance, scalability, observability, security, development workflows, and code quality
  • Track relevant technology developments and assess practical opportunities for engineering improvement

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience
  • 5–8+ years of professional software development experience with strong hands-on expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and backend engineering
  • Strong background designing REST APIs, microservices, and distributed applications using object-oriented design, SOLID principles, and established design patterns
  • 3+ years of practical experience writing complex SQL queries involving subqueries, joins, set operations, aggregate functions, schema design, and query optimization
  • Strong experience with relational databases and PostgreSQL
  • Hands-on experience with JPA/Hibernate, Git, Maven or Gradle, and automated testing tools such as JUnit and Mockito
  • Experience working with Azure, Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines
  • Strong debugging, analytical, problem-solving, and performance-tuning abilities, supported by a sound understanding of secure backend development
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including experience in Agile/Scrum teams
  • Ability to take ownership, adapt to changing priorities, and work effectively in a fast-paced product engineering environment
  • Experience developing high-volume, highly available SaaS or enterprise platforms
  • Knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, observability tooling, and DevOps practices
  • Familiarity with performance testing, infrastructure as code, Domain-Driven Design, or front-end technologies such as Angular or React
