Description

  • Own and improve Webshare’s production infrastructure
  • Lead the migration from Docker Swarm to self-hosted Kubernetes
  • Maintain highly available operations across hundreds of servers and approximately 50 services
  • Advance observability in partnership with the development team
  • Define Infrastructure as Code standards and strengthen CI/CD pipeline reliability
  • Join the on-call rotation with backend engineers
  • Handle infrastructure incidents, coordinate resolution, conduct post-mortems, and implement lasting remediation
  • Build platform tooling that improves developer experience and reduces operational toil
  • Share ownership of infrastructure with a skilled backend engineering team
  • Support Webshare’s enterprise proxy platform, which provides access to more than 80 million global IPs across 195 countries for web scraping, market research, and automated data collection

Requirements

  • Experience building and operating highly available infrastructure at scale, covering hundreds of servers and dozens of services in production
  • Practical Kubernetes experience in self-hosted or bare-metal environments
  • Strong working knowledge of Infrastructure as Code
  • Scripting and software development ability
  • A proactive working style with clear, consistent team communication
  • Preferred: experience leading at least one major infrastructure migration
  • Preferred: familiarity with Python and/or Go
  • Preferred: exposure to proxy infrastructure or networking-intensive systems
  • Preferred: experience working in a small team where developers shared infrastructure ownership
  • Preferred: familiarity with edge clusters or split compute-and-edge architectures
