Senior RF/EW Systems Engineer - Adelphi, MD Onsite

Senior RF/EW systems engineer responsible for microwave architecture design and MBSE leadership supporting HII’s Army Research Laboratory mission. Advises stakeholders on electronic warfare integration, acquisition, and advanced research.

Description

  • Design, develop, and test RF and microwave architectures, components, circuits, and products, including antennas, frequency synthesizers, transmitters, and receivers.
  • Provide expert engineering support for electronic warfare integration, program acquisition, and advanced research and development supporting the Army Research Laboratory.
  • Lead systems and systems-of-systems engineering and architecture development from concept definition and requirements through design, integration, testing, and fielding.
  • Direct the development, specification, and evaluation of RF interference mitigation, spectrum compatibility, and electronic warfare solutions.
  • Apply advanced engineering principles and help develop new concepts that advance RF and electronic warfare capabilities.
  • Lead model-based systems engineering initiatives and support configuration management strategy, planning, and control board activities.
  • Advance technology from initial concept through final product while maintaining technical rigor, interoperability, and compliance with engineering standards.
  • Coordinate activities across PEOs and PMs, the Joint Staff, Army Futures Command, and related stakeholder organizations.
  • Support acquisition work involving program documentation, milestone objectives, acquisition planning, contract management, and program re-solicitation.
  • Represent the organization and advise management and customers on advanced technical research and applications.

Requirements

  • At least 10 years of relevant experience and a master’s degree in electrical or electronic engineering, systems engineering, or management of technology.
  • A PhD or Juris Doctorate in electrical or electronic engineering, systems engineering, or management of technology, either completed or in progress.
  • Expertise in electronic warfare systems, RF and microwave engineering, and Department of Defense systems and systems-of-systems engineering and architecture development.
  • Thorough knowledge of Department of Defense and Department of War acquisition processes, program management, and life-cycle engineering.
  • Proven ability to solve complex integration and interoperability problems and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder coordination capabilities across government, military, and contractor organizations.
  • Extensive experience with Army C5ISR/C4ISR programs and electromagnetic warfare acquisition and integration is preferred.
  • Experience leading MBSE initiatives, configuration control boards, and coordination across PEOs is preferred.
  • DoD acquisition certifications and/or Army Acquisition Corps membership is preferred.
  • Ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • An amateur radio license and hands-on RF experience are advantageous.
