Description
- Survey advances in power electronics across the energy industry
- Assess applications for power electronics in small, medium, and large power transformers
- Establish project requirements and technical specifications
- Represent power electronics expertise in discussions with Hitachi specialist groups
- Work with cross-functional teams to integrate power electronics solutions
- Contribute to technology roadmaps and strategy for the field
- Produce technical reports and documentation to share findings and support knowledge transfer
- Identify key power electronics partners and collaborate with customers, universities, and research centers to strengthen technical capabilities
- Track relevant intellectual property and shape IP strategies for R&D projects
- Assess and manage risks affecting R&D projects while supporting organizational risk management
Requirements
- Master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related engineering discipline
- At least five years of experience in power electronics across R&D, engineering, or academic research
- Experience with solid-state transformers is advantageous
- Proficiency in applying internal and external standards and regulations
- Understanding of intellectual property considerations in research and development
- Organized, analytical, self-directed, and solutions-focused working style
- Innovative mindset with a willingness to explore unconventional approaches
- Proven ability to collaborate effectively in international teams, supported by strong interpersonal skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Fluent spoken and written English
