Remote Full-time Senior English Required Product Designer

Description

Lead, mentor, and develop Roo’s five-person Product Design team
Establish and implement company-wide design competencies and quality standards
Conduct development discussions and prepare performance reviews with business-unit leaders
Contribute hands-on design across complex challenges, quick wins, exploratory concepts, and team-enabling work
Work with leadership to connect design direction to product strategy and company objectives
Develop scalable design systems, including components designed for AI agents
Guide design practices from discovery and concept development through interaction design, prototyping, and delivery
Promote exploration while anchoring decisions in user needs and market context
Champion customer experience across every product surface

Requirements

At least eight years of experience in product design
At least two years of experience managing people
Demonstrated ability to develop, coach, and support senior designers
A strong portfolio showing excellence in visual design, interaction design, systems thinking, product storytelling, and user-centered execution
Experience creating and scaling design systems
Fluency with AI in design practice
Ability to clarify ambiguous problems and develop compelling product concepts from early ideas
Strong cross-functional communication skills, including close collaboration with cross-functional leaders
Experience applying a range of user research methods
Experience leading design across multiple products or user-facing surfaces
Experience with two-sided marketplaces is a strong advantage
