Description

  • Develop and execute effective sourcing and category management strategies
  • Oversee the supply portfolio while maintaining transparent spending practices
  • Follow applicable federal and state regulations
  • Reconcile purchasing records with vendor invoices
  • Verify pricing accuracy and adherence to contract terms
  • Track sales and margins through supplier negotiations and promotional initiatives
  • Oversee pharmaceutical purchasing activities with drug manufacturers and suppliers
  • Help shape departmental strategy
  • Determine technical approaches for assigned project components
  • Report to an Associate Director
  • Operate as an individual contributor
  • No domestic travel is expected, though occasional trips to Humana offices for training or meetings may be required

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience in sourcing, supply chain, vendor management, and/or contracting
  • Prior experience conducting RFI, RFQ, and RFP sourcing processes
  • Experience collaborating with and presenting to organizational leaders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
  • Strong relationship-building and stakeholder management skills
  • Business analysis experience supporting the development and delivery of sourcing programs and services
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Ability to contribute effectively as both a team member and team lead
  • Ability to adapt communication for varied audiences, including senior leaders
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, business, or a related discipline is preferred
  • Project management experience is preferred
  • Experience with spend analytics and reporting is preferred
  • Home internet service must provide at least 25 Mbps download and 10 Mbps upload speeds
  • A dedicated, interruption-free workspace is required to safeguard member PHI and HIPAA information
