Description

  • Build and maintain scalable Banking-as-a-Service APIs and event-driven backend services.
  • Help shape architecture and technical designs for secure, reliable solutions.
  • Improve CI/CD pipelines, testing, and deployment workflows.
  • Support production reliability through on-call coverage, incident investigation, and issue resolution.
  • Coordinate system integrations with internal teams and external partners.
  • Lead technical improvements and share engineering practices with colleagues.
  • Contribute to a long-term project in the banking sector.

Requirements

  • At least five years of backend engineering experience, including two or more years using Node.js and TypeScript.
  • Strong experience with AWS serverless services, including Lambda, SQS, API Gateway, EventBridge, DynamoDB, and S3.
  • Strong grasp of software design patterns and architecture.
  • Practical Infrastructure as Code experience; Terraform and CDK are preferred.
  • Experience testing TypeScript applications across unit, integration, and system levels.
  • Experience with event-driven architectures such as Kafka.
  • Familiarity with REST APIs and OpenAPI specifications.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Upper-intermediate English proficiency or higher.
  • Monorepo experience, such as pnpm workspaces, is a plus.
  • Knowledge of relational databases such as MySQL and ORMs such as Prisma is a plus.
  • Experience with NoSQL databases is a plus.
  • German language skills are a plus.
