Senior Java Technical Lead — Remote in Spain
Lead backend Java development, microservices, and cloud architecture at knowmad mood, a Spanish digital transformation company. Guide technical direction, CI/CD, and code quality while remaining hands-on.
Description
- Provide technical leadership for the backend development team
- Champion sound engineering practices and high code quality
- Contribute directly to development, programming, and code reviews as a hands-on technical lead
- Oversee hexagonal and microservices-based architecture
- Help gather requirements and define technical solutions aligned with business needs
- Oversee continuous integration and cloud-environment deployments
- Encourage collaboration, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement across the team
Requirements
- Demonstrated experience developing with current Java versions, Spring, and Spring Boot
- Previous experience working as a Technical Lead
- Practical experience with hexagonal architecture and microservices
- Familiarity with CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, and Azure Arc
- Experience or knowledge of Azure Cosmos DB, DB2, and Redis is a plus
- Experience using JUnit, Mockito, and TestContainers
- Experience with monitoring tools such as Kibana and Grafana
- Strong understanding of SOLID principles and Clean Code practices
- Good command of English
