Senior IT Infrastructure Specialist

Senior infrastructure role overseeing Linux, Kubernetes, KubeVirt virtualization, and SAN environments. Supports Cohesity’s AI-powered data security and management platform through automation, reliability, and operational excellence.

Description

  • Design, deploy, and maintain Linux server infrastructure across production and non-production environments
  • Operate and scale Kubernetes clusters, covering deployments, networking, storage integration, upgrades, and troubleshooting
  • Administer KubeVirt virtualization environments, including VM lifecycles, resource allocation, live migration, performance tuning, and host maintenance
  • Manage and optimize SAN storage systems through provisioning, performance monitoring, snapshots, and capacity planning
  • Support datacenter networking design and troubleshooting activities
  • Develop automation and internal tooling that reduces repetitive infrastructure work
  • Join the on-call rotation and respond to incidents, including root-cause analysis
  • Maintain architecture documentation, runbooks, and operational procedures
  • Support maintenance, platform upgrades, and infrastructure migrations across global datacenter locations
  • Apply AI tools to scripting, automation, Kubernetes operations, incident response, capacity and performance analysis, documentation, and research
  • Assume an active role in production infrastructure operations within the first 60–90 days

Requirements

  • At least five years of hands-on Linux systems administration experience
  • Strong production experience deploying, operating, and troubleshooting Kubernetes at scale
  • Practical experience with KubeVirt-based virtualization
  • Daily comfort with AI tools, coding assistants, and LLM-based troubleshooting and research
  • Demonstrated experience operating production infrastructure for critical internal business services with defined uptime, performance, and recovery objectives
  • Preferred: experience managing SAN storage on Pure Storage, Dell, HPE, and/or NetApp platforms
  • Preferred: datacenter networking experience with switching, routing, and VLANs
  • Preferred: experience developing internal tools or automation that use AI or LLM APIs
  • Candidates outside the designated area must be willing to relocate before their start date
  • Legal authorization to work in the job location
