Description

  • Create, operate, and evolve production-grade web applications
  • Lead features from user-facing interfaces through backend services and infrastructure
  • Shape application architectures that remain clean, maintainable, and scalable
  • Develop dependable APIs and backend services
  • Connect products with third-party APIs and external infrastructure
  • Partner with product, design, protocol, founding, and engineering teams to deliver quality features
  • Optimize frontend performance, page load speed, API latency, and responsiveness
  • Locate and resolve performance constraints throughout the technology stack
  • Engineer resilient systems with caching, retries, fallbacks, idempotency, and recovery mechanisms
  • Maintain dependable performance across high-traffic and changing workload conditions
  • Develop real-time applications that process and present rapidly changing data
  • Architect WebSocket, streaming, polling, and event-driven solutions
  • Manage asynchronous state and race conditions across frontend and backend components
  • Build responsive user interfaces with React, Next.js, and TypeScript
  • Develop and support backend services, scalable APIs, and data models
  • Use databases, caching layers, queues, and event-driven services effectively
  • Strengthen observability with logging, monitoring, tracing, and alerting
  • Investigate complex production problems across application and infrastructure layers
  • Lead key technical domains and guide long-term architectural and technology choices
  • Establish expectations for code quality, testing, documentation, and operational reliability
  • Review code and support the growth of fellow engineers
  • Surface technical debt, scalability constraints, and reliability threats

Requirements

  • At least five years of professional software engineering experience
  • Strong hands-on production experience with TypeScript and React
  • Background building and operating backend services
  • Solid knowledge of web application architecture, APIs, databases, and caching
  • Demonstrated success improving the performance, reliability, and scalability of production systems
  • Strong grasp of asynchronous systems, concurrency, networking, and application state
  • Experience developing software that handles real-time or frequently changing data
  • Ability to diagnose complex problems spanning frontend, backend, infrastructure, and external dependencies
  • Strong product judgment and careful attention to detail
  • Ability to independently lead technically complex projects from architecture through production
  • Comfort working with substantial ambiguity and ownership in an early-stage startup
  • Based in Bangalore or able to work regularly from the Bangalore office
  • Preferred experience includes high-performance financial, trading, crypto, or data-intensive systems; Web3 or blockchain applications; wallets, blockchain RPCs, indexers, or onchain infrastructure; WebSockets, streaming, or event-driven systems; Postgres, Redis, queues, and caching infrastructure; Next.js and Node.js; highly available systems, observability and monitoring; CI/CD, cloud infrastructure, production operations; application and infrastructure security; and early-stage startup product ownership
