Senior FP&A Analyst — Thumbtack | Philippines Remote
Thumbtack is seeking a Senior FP&A Analyst in the Philippines to manage forecasts, budgets, variance analysis, and strategic cost decisions for its home-services marketplace.
Description
- Own monthly and annual forecasts and operating expense budgets.
- Analyze variances and explain their impact on forecasts.
- Coordinate forecasting assumptions with stakeholders and identify key spending drivers.
- Assess trade-offs and financial sensitivities to support decisions and scenario planning.
- Conduct ad hoc financial analyses, respond to inquiries, and present data-driven insights.
- Build efficiency metrics that support growth and provide financial context.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
- Reconcile organizational headcount records.
- Collaborate with business partners on strategic cost-management solutions.
- Support the Sales team in maintaining accurate, aligned commission calculations.
- Report to the Finance Manager, FP&A.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
- At least six years of relevant experience in FP&A, corporate finance, or management consulting.
- Strong financial modeling and analytical capabilities, with proficiency in Excel and G Suite.
- A continuous-improvement mindset focused on making processes and procedures more efficient.
- Strong knowledge of, or professional exposure to, US GAAP or IFRS.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Demonstrated success collaborating across functions.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to partner effectively across the organization.
- Availability for an overnight schedule aligned with Pacific Time, from 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM PST.
- Current residence anywhere in the Philippines.
- Authorization to work in the Philippines.
