Senior Financial Analyst (Remote - New York)

Senior Financial Analyst supporting financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and profitability analysis at Grasshopper Bank. The role develops models, dashboards, and portfolio insights across lending, deposits, and investments.

Description

  • Lead comprehensive financial and data analysis for loan, deposit, and investment portfolios
  • Develop and manage operational, financial, and compliance reporting
  • Convert analytical findings into reporting packages for executives and the Board
  • Create and automate dashboards for operational performance monitoring
  • Improve corporate reporting processes by reducing manual data preparation
  • Build financial models, conduct yield analysis, and test scenarios across lending and investment portfolios
  • Assess capital allocation options and profitability strategies
  • Maintain financial planning models and deliver quarterly reforecasts
  • Produce dependable projections for operational planning
  • Contribute to annual budgeting through trend models, variance analysis, and baseline templates
  • Assess account origination, pricing, funds transfer pricing (FTP), and product margins across loan and deposit portfolios

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related discipline
  • Four to six or more years of progressively responsible financial analysis experience
  • Advanced practical experience with budgeting and forecasting platforms such as Adaptive, Workday, or Hyperion
  • Exceptional attention to detail with a strong commitment to data integrity and accurate reporting
  • Advanced ability to query, structure, and automate data using tools such as SQL, Power BI, Tableau, or advanced Excel
  • Skill in turning complex financial data into concise materials for department leaders, executives, and the Board
  • Ability to independently deliver work against demanding reporting deadlines in a remote setting
  • Experience with financial institution reporting, including FDIC Call Reports and regulatory filings, is preferred
  • Knowledge of banking profitability drivers, including product, client, and divisional margin analysis and Funds Transfer Pricing (FTP)
  • Experience developing and maintaining capital allocation models for product-level return-on-capital analysis
