Senior DevOps Lead, Cloud Infrastructure (Remote - United States)

Lead AWS infrastructure, Cloudflare, and production reliability for BAMKO’s branded merchandise operations. Own automation, cost management, upgrades, monitoring, disaster recovery, and incident response.

Description

  • Manage BAMKO’s AWS environment across compute, networking, IAM, databases, storage, and the Cloudflare edge
  • Strengthen the availability, scalability, and resilience of production workloads
  • Oversee production monitoring, logging, and alerting
  • Plan and execute database and platform upgrades
  • Administer infrastructure as code and establish consistent environment build and change practices
  • Monitor AWS spending, identify savings opportunities, and maintain predictable costs
  • Evaluate the environment against the AWS Well-Architected Framework and create a prioritized improvement roadmap
  • Maintain and test disaster recovery and backup procedures
  • Act as the primary on-call engineer for production infrastructure incidents
  • Lead post-incident reviews

Requirements

  • At least five years of experience operating production AWS infrastructure, including EC2, ASG, ALB, VPC, IAM, RDS or Aurora, and EBS
  • An active AWS certification at Associate level or above, such as Solutions Architect, CloudOps Engineer or SysOps Administrator, or DevOps Engineer
  • Production experience managing infrastructure with Terraform or AWS CDK
  • Proficiency in Python or Bash scripting
  • Operational experience with Linux and the LAMP stack, including Ubuntu, nginx or Apache, PHP, and MySQL
  • Production experience with Cloudflare services, including DNS, WAF, and Zero Trust Access
  • Experience managing an AWS budget and reducing infrastructure costs
  • Experience participating in on-call support for customer-facing systems
