Senior DCS and Controls Application Engineer in Noida (Hybrid)
Lead DCS and controls application engineering, proposals, costing, and cybersecurity solutions for GE Vernova across Asia. Coordinate global teams, technical delivery, risk management, and controls standardization.
Description
- Lead application engineering for DCS, controls, and related cybersecurity requirements across Asia
- Act as the senior technical authority for complex controls application matters
- Assess customer and EPC requirements, review RFQs and RFPs, and develop compliant, competitive, standardized solutions
- Examine customer specifications and document deviations, clarifications, and exceptions
- Coordinate multidisciplinary controls solutions for consistent plant designs and proposal strategies
- Work with global application, product engineering, commercial, compliance, sourcing, and other stakeholder teams
- Support proposals outside Asia when specialist expertise or global resource balancing is needed
- Advise on Mark VIe applications, third-party DCS interfaces, system architecture, and customer-specific needs
- Develop technical proposal materials, including narratives, clarifications, deviations, and control architecture documentation
- Contribute to proposal costing through cost inputs and coordination with sourcing teams and suppliers
- Take part in technical discussions with customers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders
- Support cybersecurity application engineering for controls and adjacent plant systems
- Assess technical risks, gaps, exceptions, and execution challenges, then develop mitigation plans
- Advance standardization across tools, technical practices, proposal language, design methods, and improvement processes
- Partner with product management, engineering, and sourcing on design methods, lessons learned, and product development
- Help introduce new controls technologies, products, and standard solutions
- Mentor developing engineers and build stronger team capability and collaboration
Requirements
- Substantial experience in engineering, technology, and customer application engineering
- A master's-level qualification from an accredited institution or a high school diploma with relevant professional experience
- Extensive experience in customer application and proposal engineering, costing, controls engineering, and power plant control domains
- Experience with DCS and plant controls application engineering, including integrated plant control solutions
- Ability to independently interpret customer specifications and convert complex technical needs into practical, competitive engineering solutions
- Experience collaborating with commercial operations, product engineering, compliance, sourcing, and project engineering in a global or matrixed environment
- Deep technical expertise in DCS, controls application engineering, plant system integration, and proposal development
- Working knowledge of cybersecurity requirements for control systems, industrial networks, and plant-level applications
- Ability to take senior-level ownership, accountability, and technical leadership across moderately to highly complex opportunities
- Sound judgment for technical decisions and the ability to guide teams through ambiguous or non-standard situations
- Systems-oriented thinking and effective collaboration across regions, functions, and disciplines
- Strong communication and stakeholder management capabilities
- Experience promoting technical rigor, identifying risks, resolving problems, and driving continuous improvement
- Ability to mentor and coach engineers while sharing effective practices
- Commitment to standardization, lean improvement, innovation, and adoption of better tools and processes
