Senior Data Intelligence Analyst – Microsoft Fabric, Power BI & AI | Europe Remote
Lead the development of governed Power BI and Microsoft Fabric analytics for reproductive medicine data. Build semantic models, KPI frameworks, and AI-ready reporting products.
Description
- Elicit and assess analytical requirements with business stakeholders
- Convert business questions into KPIs, analytical models, and reporting solutions
- Design and maintain business and semantic data models
- Create governed DAX measures and calculations
- Develop Power BI dashboards, reports, and reusable analytical products
- Analyse data in depth and turn findings into actionable business insights
- Review data, calculations, and conclusions with relevant stakeholders
- Standardise KPI definitions across reports and business functions
- Own analytical solutions from initial requirements through production delivery
- Partner with Data Engineering on data availability, structure, quality, and transformation needs
- Document semantic models, business definitions, KPIs, and analytical products clearly
- Prepare Power BI semantic models for AI-assisted and natural-language analytics
- Support scalable, governed business intelligence practices
Requirements
- Senior-level experience in business intelligence, data analytics, analytics engineering, or a comparable discipline
- Hands-on experience developing solutions in Power BI
- Advanced proficiency with DAX
- Strong SQL capability
- Thorough understanding of semantic and dimensional data modelling
- Experience designing fact tables, dimensions, relationships, and star schemas
- Demonstrated ability to define and govern business KPIs
- Ability to turn complex business requirements into practical analytical solutions
- Experience managing BI or analytical products through the full lifecycle
- Strong data-validation and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills
- Ability to work independently and question unclear or inconsistent business requirements
- Professional proficiency in English
- Microsoft Fabric experience is preferred
- Experience with Fabric Lakehouse and OneLake is preferred
- Experience with Power BI Direct Lake is preferred
- Experience with Delta tables and medallion architecture is preferred
- Experience with Dataflows Gen2 or Fabric Data Pipelines is preferred
- Experience migrating from Snowflake or another analytical platform to Microsoft Fabric is preferred
- Experience with Power BI Projects (PBIP) is preferred
- Experience using Git, version control, and CI/CD practices for Power BI is preferred
- Experience with AI-augmented analytics or Power BI Copilot is preferred
- Experience preparing semantic models for natural-language interaction is preferred
- Experience with MCP (Model Context Protocol) or a comparable AI integration is preferred
- Experience working with clinical, healthcare, operational, or multi-country business data is preferred
