Senior Data Engineer, Madrid (Hybrid) - adm Group
Build scalable cloud data pipelines and platforms for adm Indicia’s clients and business. Lead ETL/ELT delivery, data modeling, integrations, and technical direction.
Description
- Translate business and stakeholder needs into practical technical solution designs.
- Produce thorough design documentation for technical audiences across teams.
- Own technical delivery and accountability for successful data solutions.
- Work closely with stakeholders, colleagues, and cross-functional business teams.
- Plan, estimate, prioritize, and deliver work in a fast-moving commercial setting.
- Build secure, resilient, and scalable ETL/ELT pipelines, data models, and downstream integrations.
- Work with Data Engineering and Architecture teams to develop, run, and improve the Data Platform.
- Promote industry-aligned engineering practices and continuous improvement.
- Coach and support junior colleagues and broader data teams through technical guidance and mentoring.
- Deliver automated data-processing solutions from initial design through ongoing support.
Requirements
- At least five years of experience delivering data solutions in a commercial setting.
- Practical experience with modern cloud platforms, ideally AWS; Azure or GCP experience is advantageous.
- Strong background in ETL/ELT data processing with tools such as Matillion, AWS services, and Python.
- Experience with modern cloud data warehouses and platforms such as Snowflake, Databricks, BigQuery, or equivalent technologies.
- Advanced SQL skills covering both Data Manipulation Language and Data Definition Language.
- Capacity to quickly understand and adopt new technologies, concepts, and working practices.
- A track record of creating high-quality technical documentation throughout the solution lifecycle.
- Ability to explain complex technical subjects clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Experience delivering projects in fast-paced, cross-functional environments.
- Strong planning and estimation abilities, with consistent delivery against agreed timelines.
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills.
