Description

  • Contribute across the design and development lifecycle for analytics applications and reporting tools.
  • Work with customers to understand and clarify business requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve solutions and consider alternatives.
  • Partner with engineers on web portals that deliver interactive content.
  • Review complex change requests and assess potential enhancements.
  • Set application scope and objectives, and prepare functional or technical specifications.
  • Analyze detailed business and technical requirements.
  • Code and maintain complex information system components.
  • Coach colleagues on coding standards and review their code.
  • Plan and conduct system tests, resolve defects, and rerun unit tests.
  • Coordinate with other IT departments on project delivery and support.
  • Contribute to data information planning.
  • Maintain the technical development environment and implementation plan.
  • Create training materials and identify further training needs and enhancements.
  • Manage small projects and provide mentoring and training.
  • Act as a subject matter expert for business intelligence applications.
  • Connect operational source systems with data repositories.
  • Explore data to assess its strengths, limitations, and potential uses.
  • Build strategic reports from the data warehouse using SQL.
  • Maintain knowledge of warehouse database design, data definitions, and data integrity concerns.
  • Work with database developers, data analysts, project and program managers, IT engineers, and external partners.
  • Help tune SQL queries for performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, plus at least 3 years of experience on one platform; equivalent combinations of education and experience are also accepted.
  • Advanced SQL skills, including complex queries, joins, CTEs, window functions, stored procedures, and transformations of large datasets.
  • Experience designing, building, and supporting data feeds for pharmaceutical manufacturers, specialty or infusion pharmacies, hub services, or healthcare data exchange environments.
  • Experience handling patient- and prescription-level specialty pharmacy data.
  • Experience interpreting manufacturer data specifications and turning source-to-target mapping needs into ETL/ELT solutions, outbound feeds, validation rules, and transformation logic.
  • Experience with data quality, operational controls, healthcare data privacy, reconciliation, exception and reject handling, duplicate management, historical corrections, reprocessing, and HIPAA, PHI, and PII requirements.
  • Experience with Snowflake, SQL Server, or SSIS.
  • Ability to work on-site 1–2 days each week and live within a reasonable commute of a listed posting location.
