- Build and maintain secure RESTful APIs with JavaScript/TypeScript, Node.js, NestJS, and PHP
- Develop efficient, testable code for platform microservices
- Partner with developers, QA engineers, and security engineers to improve the developer experience
- Optimize SQL and NoSQL databases for performance and data integrity
- Troubleshoot and enhance CI/CD pipelines and standard workflows
- Review code and support ongoing quality improvements
- Develop robust, scalable, high-performance backend services and APIs
- Maintain services that are critical to the Field Nation marketplace and its users
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering or a related discipline
- At least five years of professional backend software development experience
- Strong hands-on backend experience with TypeScript, JavaScript, and Node.js
- Experience with AWS services including Lambda, S3, EC2, and DynamoDB
- Working familiarity with Docker and Kubernetes
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, and Ansible
- Exposure to monitoring and logging platforms including Datadog, Prometheus, Grafana, and the ELK stack
- Knowledge of SQL and NoSQL databases
- Experience developing and operating microservices architectures
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
