Description

  • Build and maintain secure, high-performance PHP and Node.js applications and Go or Python modules for the core backend engine.
  • Work with product managers to clarify requirements, define technical specifications, and deliver solutions that support product goals.
  • Partner with the infrastructure team to improve performance, troubleshoot issues, and support reliable deployment and operation.
  • Write clear, documented, testable code.
  • Mentor and support junior developers.
  • Review code to uphold quality and sound engineering practices.
  • Find and carry out optimization, refactoring, and technical debt reduction work.
  • Track developments in PHP and Node.js and apply relevant technologies.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field.
  • At least seven years of professional backend development experience.
  • Substantial experience with a backend language such as PHP, Go, Node.js, or Java.
  • A record of delivering complex projects with measurable improvements to product performance or stability.
  • Strong knowledge of non-framework development and object-oriented programming.
  • Ability to use AI tools such as Claude during analysis, implementation, testing, and cross-functional automation.
  • Familiarity with AWS or Azure, Docker or other containerization, and Salesforce is an advantage.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to debug complex issues efficiently.
  • Clear communication and interpersonal skills for working with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Self-directed and proactive, with an interest in continued learning and development.
