Description

  • Direct complex technology consulting engagements while deepening strategic client partnerships
  • Provide senior technical direction across high-impact AWS client programs
  • Set architectural direction and engineering standards for AWS Platform Engineering
  • Counsel CIOs, CTOs, CISOs, architects, infrastructure leaders, and engineering executives on cloud strategy and AWS decisions
  • Support Solutions Architects and Senior Cloud Engineers through demanding architecture and delivery challenges
  • Evaluate and guide solutions spanning AWS infrastructure, networking, security, resilience, migration, modernization, automation, and operating models
  • Step into high-risk and exceptionally complex delivery situations
  • Keep engagements aligned with client objectives, engineering quality, security requirements, and durable operating models
  • Create reusable reference architectures, engineering frameworks, accelerators, and intellectual property
  • Strengthen technical capability through mentoring, coaching, design reviews, and knowledge exchange
  • Collaborate with AWS alliance and pre-sales teams to develop strategic opportunities
  • Turn client requirements and delivery lessons into new services and repeatable solution patterns
  • Support technical solution design, estimation, executive briefings, proposals, and statements of work
  • Cultivate senior client relationships that generate ongoing advisory and engineering work
  • Own an assigned sales quota while helping build and convert the pipeline
  • Represent the AWS Platform Engineering practice with AWS technical teams, strategic customers, and industry stakeholders
  • Lead teams, manage technology risk, and drive successful project outcomes

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as management information systems, information systems, or computer science
  • At least 9 years of experience in professional services or an industry environment
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate certification
  • AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Professional and AWS Certified Security – Specialty certifications preferred
  • Broad, deep expertise in designing, implementing, and governing enterprise AWS environments
  • Ability to influence architecture and technology strategy within large or complex organizations
  • Background leading multiple complex cloud engagements or portfolios of technical work
  • Strong architecture expertise across infrastructure, networking, security, automation, resilience, governance, operations, and migration
  • Ability to advise senior executives while maintaining credibility with highly technical engineering teams
  • Substantial experience shaping and estimating complex cloud transformation engagements
  • Ability to uncover client needs and convert them into valuable consulting and engineering engagements
  • Experience developing technical leaders and advancing engineering standards across an organization
  • Strong grasp of consulting economics, delivery risk, scope control, and commercial decision-making
  • Consulting, professional services, or systems integration experience strongly preferred
  • Experience with Amazon Bedrock features including agents, knowledge bases, and guardrails
  • Experience with AWS Step Functions or comparable orchestration services
  • Understanding of API design and integration patterns, including REST and event-driven architectures
  • Knowledge of data architectures for agent knowledge bases that ingest and index procurement and logistics data
  • Experience using CDK or CloudFormation for Infrastructure as Code
  • Knowledge of AWS IAM, networking, and VPC architecture
  • Familiarity with ERP integration patterns, including JDE and Oracle FBDI export formats
  • Ability to convert business processes into technical architectures
  • Experience delivering agentic AI or GenAI solutions beyond chatbot implementations
  • Successful completion of a background check
