Description

Build Cardo Systems’ new B2C mobile application from the ground up
Lead the Android platform across its full lifecycle
Shape application architecture, technology decisions, development standards, quality strategy, and release processes
Partner with Product, Design, Backend, Embedded, QA, and DevOps teams
Coordinate with teams responsible for other applications
Translate product concepts into a scalable, dependable, high-quality mobile experience for users worldwide

Requirements

At least six years of professional Android development experience with Kotlin
Track record of delivering production B2C mobile applications from initial architecture and technology selection through launch and operation at scale
Advanced knowledge of the Android ecosystem and current practices for performance, memory management, stability, and mobile security
Strong software architecture background, including modular, testable applications and reusable SDKs or libraries
Solid understanding of networking, API integration, asynchronous programming, local storage, and offline functionality
Experience implementing automated unit, integration, and UI tests, along with CI/CD and Google Play release management
Demonstrated ownership and collaboration in architecture discussions, design work, and code reviews
Professional written and spoken English
Practical experience with Bluetooth Classic and BLE, including pairing, connection management, HFP and A2DP audio profiles, and background execution
Experience partnering with connected-hardware and firmware teams on device protocols and OTA firmware updates
Experience with VoIP and real-time audio, including integration with system calls
Experience delivering AI-enabled mobile features and integrating LLMs or machine-learning models into production applications
Strong hands-on use of AI-assisted development tools and workflows
Experience with Jetpack Compose and contemporary Android UI frameworks
Experience designing public SDK APIs, preserving backward compatibility, applying semantic versioning, and supporting external developers
Background in modularization, large codebases, white-label products, or multi-application platforms
Experience with analytics, crash reporting, feature flags, and A/B testing tools
Experience with Kotlin Multiplatform or iOS development
Experience in a startup, scale-up, or similarly fast-moving product environment
