Senior Analyst, Global Trade Compliance - Eindhoven Hybrid

Support Illumina’s EMEA trade compliance operations for genomics technologies from Eindhoven. Manage customs, sanctions, export controls, audits, and compliant cross-border activity.

Description

  • Support EMEA trade compliance programmes and regional operations
  • Apply import/export regulations, customs laws, sanctions requirements, and export controls to business activities
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external customs brokers on compliant cross-border transactions
  • Track regulatory developments and evaluate their effects across EMEA jurisdictions
  • Assist with compliance reviews, audits, and corrective actions
  • Investigate and resolve customs and trade issues, including shipment delays and documentation discrepancies
  • Prepare compliance reports, performance metrics, and documentation for management and regulatory needs
  • Advance process improvements, automation initiatives, and operational efficiency in trade compliance
  • Contribute to trade compliance training and awareness programmes
  • Work with global trade compliance colleagues to align regional practices with corporate policies and standards

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in international trade, supply chain, business, law, finance, or a related field
  • Experience in trade compliance, customs, import/export operations, or global trade management
  • Strong knowledge of EMEA customs regulations, export controls, sanctions, licensing requirements, and international trade rules
  • Hands-on experience with tariff classification, customs valuation, origin determination, and customs broker management
  • Knowledge of EU dual-use regulations, UK export controls, and sanctions compliance frameworks is advantageous
  • Experience in multinational and matrixed organisations
  • Strong analytical, organisational, and problem-solving abilities
  • Advanced Excel skills and experience using ERP systems
  • SAP GTS experience is highly desirable
  • Professional trade compliance or customs certifications are beneficial
  • Fluent English communication skills
