Senior Accounts Payable Specialist - Houston Hybrid
Perry Homes is seeking a senior accounts payable specialist to manage invoices, utility bills, reconciliations, and vendor payments. This full-time hybrid role is based in Houston, Texas.
Description
- Maintain and improve filing systems for financial information, records, and documents
- Support training for Accounts Payable Specialists as needed
- Act as the department contact when the Accounts Payable Manager and Assistant Manager are unavailable
- Process vendor invoices, utility bills, and third-party payments
- Verify that payments are accurate and accounts remain in good standing
- Record business transactions each day
- Process vendor payments by credit card and online methods
- Reconcile completed work by validating entries and comparing system reports with account balances
- Prepare scheduled vendor payments and match checks with supporting documentation for review
- Complete additional duties that support the Payables Department
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required
- At least five years of relevant accounts payable experience
- Accurate, efficient 10-key data entry by touch
- Experience handling physical checks and electronic payment systems
- Strong knowledge of accounts payable, filing, and data entry procedures
- Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred
- Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office, Outlook, Excel, and Word
