Senior Accountant, Warner Music Group (U.S. Remote)

Lead advanced accounting, financial reporting, reconciliations, and close activities for Warner Music Group’s U.S. record labels and businesses.

Description

  • Review junior staff work and provide feedback to correct issues and improve processes.
  • Complete advanced accounting analyses and tasks supporting monthly and quarterly reporting under U.S. GAAP.
  • Support the monthly close by preparing complex journal entries, monitoring subledger interfaces, and delivering close materials on schedule.
  • Reconcile corporate cash activity and intercompany cash netting with Cash and Treasury teams, resolving issues promptly.
  • Analyze variances from system reconciliations and ad hoc requests, providing timely explanations to stakeholders.
  • Support global intercompany reconciliations by monitoring and resolving mismatches affecting the financial close.
  • Review offshore team deliverables, provide feedback, and help ensure accurate, timely completion of assigned work.
  • Identify and implement BlackLine automation opportunities to strengthen close procedures and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain compliance with SOX, internal controls, accounting policies, and U.S. GAAP.
  • Support internal and external audits, tax reporting, and the preparation of schedules and supporting documentation.
  • Build effective relationships with finance teams and stakeholders while contributing to cross-functional initiatives and special projects.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance.
  • Five to ten years of shared services or corporate accounting experience, or experience with a Big Four CPA firm.
