Description

  • Prepare monthly journal entries, accruals, reconciliations, and closing entries
  • Contribute to monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting
  • Maintain and review general ledger accounts for accuracy and completeness
  • Support client billing, invoicing, accounts receivable, and related calculations
  • Review accounts payable activity and assist with payment processing
  • Complete bank and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Assist with annual audit and tax-related requests
  • Conduct financial analysis and prepare ad hoc reports
  • Research accounting issues and provide findings as needed
  • Document and enhance accounting procedures, reports, and internal processes
  • Collaborate with the Controller and finance team on ongoing initiatives

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related discipline
  • About five or more years of progressive accounting experience
  • Solid knowledge of U.S. GAAP and core accounting principles
  • Hands-on experience with month-end close, journal entries, reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Advanced Excel capability and strong analytical skills
  • Careful attention to detail and effective organizational skills
  • Ability to coordinate competing priorities and meet deadlines
  • Clear and effective written and verbal communication
  • Proactive, curious approach and comfort working in a hands-on environment
  • Public accounting or audit background, or a combination of public and corporate accounting experience
  • CPA credential or active progress toward CPA designation
  • Experience using NetSuite or another enterprise resource planning system
  • Background in financial services or other complex corporate accounting environments
  • Experience improving accounting processes, reporting, or systems
