Lead secure multi-cloud architecture, modernization, automation, and FinOps governance for SAIC customers across defense, federal, and commercial missions. Manage cloud infrastructure, compliance, and cost optimization across complex environments.

Description

  • Lead cloud migration and modernization initiatives while minimizing disruption to operations.
  • Design secure, scalable, resilient cloud architectures that meet mission needs and federal compliance requirements.
  • Manage multi-cloud and hybrid environments spanning AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, Oracle Cloud, and on-premises infrastructure.
  • Build and deploy cloud-native applications with Docker, Kubernetes, and microservices.
  • Create and maintain Infrastructure as Code with Terraform, CloudFormation, Ansible, or Pulumi.
  • Partner with security teams on Authority to Operate processes.
  • Provision, monitor, and administer compute, storage, networking, and identity services.
  • Track cloud performance, availability, and security with tools such as Splunk, CloudWatch, and Azure Monitor.
  • Embed automation into CI/CD pipelines through DevSecOps practices across classified and unclassified environments.
  • Build and operate secure, compliant, repeatable Cloud Landing Zones.
  • Support enterprise account provisioning and tenant administration across cloud platforms and organizational units.
  • Take part in Agile/Scrum ceremonies, sprint planning, and delivery activities.
  • Apply FinOps methods to optimize costs and manage cloud billing and financial governance across tenants.
  • Deliver mission-specific cloud capabilities for Civilian, Federal, DoD, Space, Intel, and Commercial partners.
  • Produce technical guidance and documentation for cloud operations, governance, and best practices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree with at least nine years of experience, or a master’s degree with at least seven years of experience.
  • U.S. citizenship.
  • Ability to obtain a secret clearance.
  • Experience with FinOps KION.
  • At least three years of hands-on experience in cloud engineering, architecture, or infrastructure roles.
  • Proficiency with AWS or Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience managing enterprise tenants and provisioning accounts across multi-cloud environments.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps pipelines and tools such as GitLab CI/CD, Jenkins, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.
  • Understanding of cloud networking concepts, including VPCs, VPNs, load balancers, DNS, and firewall configuration.
  • Knowledge of FinOps, cloud billing, financial governance, and tools such as Apptio or Kion.
  • Strong scripting and automation ability in Python, Bash, PowerShell, or comparable languages.
  • Preferred: experience designing and deploying Cloud Landing Zones with AWS Control Tower, Azure Landing Zone frameworks, or equivalent platforms.
  • Preferred: familiarity with hybrid-cloud connectivity using AWS Direct Connect, Azure ExpressRoute, and VPN Gateway.
  • Preferred: experience with or detailed knowledge of federal or DoD cloud environments at IL2, IL4, IL5, and/or IL6 authorization levels.
  • Preferred: demonstrated cloud cost optimization experience, including chargeback/showback models and FinOps tools.
  • Preferred: experience administering multi-tenant cloud environments and enforcing governance policies across organizational accounts.
  • Preferred: familiarity with observability tools such as Datadog, Splunk, Prometheus, Grafana, or CloudWatch.
  • Preferred: relevant certification such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert, Google Professional Cloud Architect, Oracle Cloud Infrastructure Architect, HashiCorp Certified: Terraform Associate, Certified Kubernetes Administrator, or FinOps Certified Practitioner.
