Revenue Specialist I – Florida Remote
Collect insurance payments and resolve healthcare claims for DaVita. Work remotely from Florida to investigate denials, underpayments, and outstanding patient balances.
Description
- Build and sustain relationships with insurance companies.
- Collect insurance payments on outstanding patient balances.
- Investigate and resolve accounts with payment issues.
- Meet collection performance goals by maximizing recoveries.
- Resolve billing accounts on behalf of patients.
- Research accounts by phone, email, and insurer portals, then resolve outstanding issues.
- Spot patterns in unpaid or underpaid claims and analyze their root causes.
- Investigate claim rejections, underpayments, and denials; appeal and resolve them with the appropriate insurer.
- Build positive working relationships with clinical staff, colleagues, and insurance representatives.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED is required.
- An associate or bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred.
- Strong research and problem-solving ability, supported by analytical and critical thinking skills.
- Healthcare and medical billing or collections experience is preferred.
- Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
- A track record of resolving complex issues.
- A strong commitment to teamwork.
