Renewable Energy Engineer, Fixed-Term – Onsite India

Support renewable energy program implementation and monitoring for PMSGMBY and PM-KUSUM initiatives in India. Coordinate project reporting and stakeholder engagement with state energy departments, utilities, and renewable energy agencies.

Description

  • Support implementation and monitoring of renewable energy programs in Chhattisgarh and Tripura
  • Work within the relevant State Energy Department
  • Assist the Renewable Energy Expert or Team Leader with program and project monitoring
  • Track project milestones, deliverables, and performance indicators
  • Monitor implementation of PMSGMBY and PM-KUSUM initiatives
  • Collect, analyze, and report project data and progress updates
  • Identify delivery challenges and propose corrective actions
  • Prepare reports, presentations, and project records
  • Coordinate with State Energy Departments, DISCOMs, Renewable Energy Development Agencies, and other stakeholders
  • Facilitate collaboration between government departments and implementing agencies
  • Support meetings, workshops, consultations, and field monitoring activities
  • Assist with training and capacity-building programs for government officials and utility personnel
  • Provide technical assistance for renewable energy project implementation and monitoring
  • Contribute to knowledge sharing and the dissemination of best practices

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical Engineering
  • At least two years of experience with renewable energy companies in India
  • Experience supporting state-owned power utilities or renewable energy development agencies in monitoring or managing at least one renewable energy project
  • Experience contributing to renewable energy project implementation, monitoring, or advisory assignments
  • Working knowledge of renewable energy technologies and project delivery
  • Strong analytical, coordination, and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with government agencies and diverse stakeholders
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
  • Strong report-writing and presentation skills
  • Fluency in spoken and written English
  • Ability to work independently in a full-time deployment role within a government environment
