Remote Data Engineer, Databricks — Mexico

Description
- Develop batch and streaming pipelines, semantic models, and data transformations in Databricks using Python and Spark
- Establish and maintain data contracts, quality standards, and data SLOs for each data product
- Advise domain teams on data modeling and the boundaries of data products
- Coach and collaborate with domain engineers and analysts on data product ownership and sound engineering practices
- Gather domain feedback and proven practices to improve platform templates, tools, and engineering patterns
- Build and oversee scalable machine-learning solutions that deliver reliable, reusable, and auditable results
- Partner with cross-functional teams to transform complex business data into trusted, well-governed AI products
Requirements
- Background in data engineering, including the development and optimization of data pipelines
- Hands-on experience with Databricks, Python, and Spark for batch and streaming workloads
- Familiarity with a business intelligence visualization platform such as Looker or Tableau
