R&D Engineering Intern at Emerson — Hybrid in Malaysia

Description

  • Assist with engineering initiatives alongside guidance from experienced mentors
  • Contribute to design, development, prototyping, testing, validation, and troubleshooting work
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to address technical issues and enhance product performance
  • Use engineering fundamentals and academic training in practical applications
  • Record project findings, test outcomes, and recommendations throughout execution

Requirements

  • Pursuing a bachelor's degree in electrical, electronics, computer, mechanical, or software engineering, or a related discipline
  • Hardware engineering knowledge covering electronic circuits, digital logic, embedded systems, analog circuits, or power supply design
  • Interest in circuit design, simulation, debugging, and laboratory measurement
  • Programming knowledge in C or C++ for software engineering work
  • Understanding of embedded systems, hardware interfaces, computer architecture, or object-oriented programming
  • Understanding of mechanical design fundamentals and product development processes
  • Familiarity with 3D CAD software such as Creo or SolidWorks
  • Interest in test methods, measurement systems, automation, hardware-software integration, and data analysis
  • Knowledge of RF fundamentals, circuit design, testing, or wireless communications
  • Interest in validation, sustaining engineering, and manufacturing support
  • Strong analytical ability and problem-solving skills
  • Practical experience through projects, laboratory work, or academic teams
  • Familiarity with engineering simulation, testing, or development tools applicable to the discipline
  • Clear communication and effective teamwork skills
