Description

  • Set the architecture and technical direction for native iOS apps, with some Android development.
  • Build and optimize mobile apps linking Bluetooth and BLE tools, sensors, and cloud services.
  • Write production-ready code and address complex connectivity, performance, reliability, and scaling challenges.
  • Develop in-house mobile engineering standards and practices for architecture, testing, and development.
  • Guide external development partners through technical reviews and code reviews to deliver strong engineering results.
  • Work with embedded, cloud, product, and UX teams to create cohesive connected-product experiences.
  • Make technical decisions that balance performance, security, maintainability, and delivery speed.
  • Use modern engineering methods, including AI-assisted tools, to improve productivity, testing, and code quality.
  • Travel up to 10%.

Requirements

  • At least 8 years of software development experience, including extensive hands-on native iOS work.
  • Strong Swift and native iOS skills, with experience building and supporting complex production applications.
  • Experience designing mobile application architecture and making major technical design decisions.
  • Experience building mobile apps that connect to Bluetooth or BLE devices, sensors, IoT, or connected hardware.
  • Strong knowledge of mobile architecture, APIs, cloud integration, performance, security, and testing.
  • Technical leadership experience, including influencing engineering decisions and collaborating across teams while contributing hands-on.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration abilities.
  • Experience developing native Android apps with Kotlin or Java.
  • Experience with AWS, cloud-connected applications, or distributed systems.
  • Experience with mobile CI/CD, automated testing, observability, and release management.
  • Experience using AI-assisted or agentic development tools.
  • Experience with professional tools, connected consumer products, industrial IoT, or field-service technology.
  • Four-year degree.
