Description

  • Shape IAM and CIAM architecture around Zero Trust and enterprise security principles
  • Create scalable authentication and authorization models for internal platforms and customer-facing applications
  • Define identity-service standards, reusable patterns, and reference architectures
  • Guide platform selection, integration strategy, and identity capability roadmaps
  • Lead identity solution design and implementation across Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Auth0, Ping, and comparable providers
  • Develop and maintain SSO, MFA, passwordless authentication, RBAC and ABAC authorization, federation, identity brokering, B2B and B2C flows, and identity lifecycle management
  • Design customer identity services covering self-service registration, onboarding, lifecycle management, identity governance, and secure access across products
  • Enhance the user experience, security, and scalability of customer identity services
  • Implement MFA, adaptive authentication, conditional access, audit logging, access reviews, and regulatory compliance controls
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to embed identity services into applications
  • Support adoption through SDKs, APIs, documentation, and reusable implementation patterns
  • Serve as an internal identity consultant and subject matter expert
  • Maintain identity platforms that are highly available, scalable, secure, observable, monitored, and integrated with CI/CD and DevSecOps
  • Advance identity operations through continuous improvement and automation

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related discipline
  • At least 8–12 years of experience across software engineering, security, or identity
  • At least five years of hands-on IAM or CIAM implementation experience in enterprise or customer-facing environments
  • Demonstrated success designing and delivering identity solutions at scale
  • Broad experience with authentication and authorization capabilities
  • Practical experience with Microsoft Entra ID, including Azure AD and B2C, Okta, or comparable identity platforms
  • Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML, JWT, identity federation, token-based authentication, Zero Trust, and access governance or compliance frameworks
  • Experience creating RBAC and ABAC authorization models
  • Experience with externalized, fine-grained authorization using OPA, Cedar, or XACML, including PDP and PEP architecture, policy testing, and fail-closed design
  • Experience with cloud platforms; Azure is preferred, while AWS or GCP is acceptable
  • Comfort working across both architecture and hands-on engineering responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to influence cross-functional teams
  • Solid understanding of Agile delivery practices
  • Preferred experience includes privacy, consent management, customer data protection, AI-enabled identity, mentoring, CIAM user experience, enterprise-scale CIAM, AI, platform and API ecosystems, AI-driven security, identity automation, Terraform, Bicep, ADO, GitHub Actions, DevSecOps, and relevant certifications
